Introduction

Introduction

This Combined Cycle Gas Turbine Project is located in the Dibrugarh District of Assam. It has been partly financed by a loan of 37.272 Billion Yen under bilateral credit arrangement with the Overseas Economic Cooperation Fund of Japan.It utilises natural gas available in the oil fields of Upper Assam.

The power station comprises of 6 Gas Turbines with associated Waste Heat Recovery Boilers and 3 Steam Turbines , arranged in a modular fashion. A module comprises of 2 Gas Turbines with associated Waste Heat Recovery Boilers and 1 steam turbine.
