The North Eastern Electric Power Corporation Limited (NEEPCO) has joined the International Hydropower Association (IHA) in 2024, marking a strategic step towards global hydropower excellence.
The IHA, established in 1995, is a leading non-profit organization that unites over 100 corporate members across 120 countries in advancing sustainable hydropower solutions. Through this membership, NEEPCO strengthens its position in the global hydropower sector while contributing to India's renewable energy goals.

As part of its steadfast commitment to community development, Girl Empower Mission (GEM) 2025, a flagship initiative under its Corporate Social Responsibility - Community Development (CSR-CD) Scheme was formally inaugurated on 14th July 2025 by the HoP at AGBPS, Bokuloni. 60 schoolgirls from neighbouring schools around the Plant have been selected to participate in the programme, marking another milestone in NEEPCO’s journey towards empowering young minds and nurturing future leaders.

The Indian Institute of Management Shillong hosted a compelling session of its flagship Veteran Leadership Series on July 10, 2025, centered on the theme “Leadership Lessons: From Battlefield to Boardroom.”

The highlight of the event was the keynote address by Major General Rajesh Kumar Jha, AVSM (Retd.), Director (Personnel), NEEPCO, who was the Chief Guest for the occasion. A distinguished military leader and seasoned corporate executive, Major General Jha delivered an inspiring and deeply insightful talk that bridged the worlds of military strategy and corporate leadership.
