The Hon’ble Minister of Power and New & Renewable Energy conducted a detailed review of NEEPCO at Guwahati on 6th February 2022. The Hon’ble Minister appreciated the rapid capacity addition and substantial increase in green energy generation by NEEPCO. NEEPCO contributes more than 45% energy requirement of the North East and also supplies power to Haryana, UP, Chhattisgarh and Goa. The Hon’ble Minister exhorted NEEPCO to become a 4000 MW plus company in the next 7 to 8 years and assured full support.
NEEPCO shines bright at the Inaugural Ceremony of the National Conference on "Shaping a Sustainable Future of India with Green Power" organized on 18.03.2024 at Jaisalmer by the National Power Training Institute (NPTI) Eastern Region in partnership with the Eastern Regional Power Committee (ERPC) of the Central Electricity Authority (CEA).
