An online Essay competition was organised to commemorate the Birth Anniversary of Dr. B.R.Ambedkar on the topics:
1. Dr.B.R.Ambedkar- His Role in Drafting the Constitution with special reference to Freedom, Equality, Fraternity and Affirmative Action
2. Dr.B.R.Ambedkar- His Socio-Economic and Secular concepts.
Students from various colleges from Shillong and Guwahati participated,
each paying their tribute to the Architect of the Indian Constitution through their compositions, while expressing hope for the future of the country.

NEEPCO starts commercial operation of 150 MW Unit-2 of its 600 MW Kameng HEP in West Kameng District of Arunachal Pradesh wef 00:00 hrs of 01.07.2020, after demonstrating peaking capability corresponding to the installed capacity through a successful trial run on 29.06.2020. With this, 300 MW (2 Units) of the Plant has been commissioned which will promote desired changes to the energy mix of the country.

The Pare Hydro Electric Project, NEEPCO under its CSR-CD scheme has supplied clinical lab equipments on 16.03.2020 to the Primary Health Centre, Chiputa (Mani Village), Doimukh, Papumpare District, Arunachal Pradesh. The lab equipments such as (i) Semi Auto Biochemistry Analyser including centrifuge machine and Incubator (ii) Haematology Analyser including Blood Roller Mixer was handed over to Dr.Kipa Seema, Medical Officer Incharge HWC, Chiputa by Sri Dilip Kr.
NEEPCO was conferred with ASSAM BEST EMPLOYER BRAND AWARDS by World HRD Congress on 26th Feb, 2020 at Guwahati, Assam.
