Shri A.G.West Kharkongor,CMD,NEEPCO accompanied by Shri Anil Kumar,D(P) and other officials called on Shri Pema Khandu,Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh for a review meeting for 600MW Kameng Hydro Electric Project and other issues related to the Corporation and hydropower generation in the state.

The Institution of Engineers (India) awarded NEEPCO the 'IEI Centenary Industry Excellence Award' on 05.11.19 at New Delhi. The award was given by Shri Nitin Gadkari, Hon’ble Union Minister of Road Transport & Highways and MSMEs.  

In a significant push to the development of Hydro Projects in Arunachal Pradesh, the Govt of Arunachal Pradesh signed the MoU  for the 120 MW NAFRA and 90 MW New Meling Hydro Electric Projects with NEEPCO on 14th August 2021. On behalf of the Govt of Arunachal Pradesh, the MoU documents were signed by Sh Prashant S Lokhande, Commissioner (Power),in the august presence of the Hon’ble Chief minister of Arunachal Pradesh Sh Pema Khandu,Hon’ble  Dy CM Sh Chowna Mein and the Chief Secretary Sh Naresh Kumar.

The 9th Trench Rozgar Mela was held today i.e.26-09-2023 at the State Convention Centre, Shillong. The occasion was graced by the Hon’ble Minister of State of Minority Affairs, Government of India, Shri John Barla, Major General R. K. Jha, AVSM, Director (Personnel), NEEPCO Ltd and Vice Chancellor, NEHU. NEEPCO has issued 41 (forty-one) Nos of offer of appointments in the cadre of Executive Trainee in various disciplines.

Shri Chowna Mein, Hon'ble Deputy Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh visited Bichom Dam Complex of 600 MW Kameng Hydro Power Station in Bichom, Arunachal Pradesh, along with the Hon'ble Union Minister Shri Kiren Rijiju, HMLA Shri Dongru Siongju, Former Minister Shri Japu Deru and Govt Officers. He has appreciated the NEEPCO team for their unwavering dedication to a greener and more sustainable future.

Major General R.K Jha, AVSM (Retd) Director (Personnel) had a very fruitful meeting with Smti Nandita Garlosa, Hon'ble Minister of Power, Assam. Director ( Personnel) apprised Hon'ble Minister about  Kopili Hydro Power Station( KHPS) and our future plans for further development.

Hon'ble Minister complimented NEEPCO for the efficient revival of KHPS and also gave assurance for inclusion of Umrangso- Garampani Road and Bhagabazar- Natacherra Road under the Asom Mala Scheme.

As part of the Public Sector Day celebrations, a Workshop was organised at the HRD Centre on the 16th April 2015 with a special emphasis on Swachh Bharat and Skill Development in association with NEEPCO Women Welfare Association(NWWA). Inaugurating the programme, Smti L.A.Kharmawphlang, Sr. Manager (CC) briefly explained the significance of Public Sector Day and the objective of the Workshop. 5 MWp Grid Interactive Solar PV Power Plant installed at Monarchak in Sepahijala District of Tripura by NEEPCO was commissioned on 15th February, 2015.

Shri Borgohain is an outstanding HR Professional with 32 years of rich experience in Human Resource Management, Strategic Human Capital Engagement, Talent Management, Employees’ Relations and OD Intervention. He has been instrumental in bringing about major transformational changes in NEEPCO.
