The finals of the Annual State level painting competition under the aegis of the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) and the Ministry of Power was held at NEEPCO Auditorium on the 9th November 2016. Mr. C. Kharkrang, Director(Transmission), MeECL, Meghalaya, graced the prize distribution function as Chief Guest. While congratulating the winners, Mr. C. Kharkrang, stressed on the need to conserve energy in our everyday activities. A Report on the painting competition on energy conservation- 2015 was presented by Mr. Prakash Verma, Nodal Officer, Meghalaya.
Hon’ble Power Minister Shri Piyush Goyal being presented the interim dividend cheque amounting to Rs. 21.00 crores for 2016-17 by CMD, NEEPCO, Shri A.G. West Kharkongor at New Delhi on 27th March 2017.
Honourable Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh Shri Nabam Tuki alongwith local MLA, Shri Nabam Rebia visited Pare Dam site (Jampa) and Power House site (Sopo) on 02/03/2015. The dignitaries also discussed about the progress of the project with the officials of NEEPCO.
NEEPCO, a Miniratna Govt. of India Enterprise under Ministry of Power paid a total dividend of Rs. 95.56 crores for the year 2014-15. The final dividend amount of Rs. 69.56 crores was paid to the Hon'ble Minister of State (independent charge) for Power, Coal and N&RE on 29.10.2015 at New Delhi by Shri P.C. Pankaj, CMD, NEEPCO alongwith Director (Finance), Shri A.G. West Kharkongor, Director (Technical), Shri Utpal Moral. Addl. Secretary (Power), Economic Advisor and Joint Secretary (Hydro) from Ministry of Power was also present on the occasion.
