KHPS constructed the Gorkha Community complex at New Tumbung, Umrongso. The facility was handed over on 23.08.2025 by Shri Prantik Bordoloi, DGM(HR) and Shri B.N. Sarkar, Sr.M(C) to the President, AAGSU, Umrongso in presence of local dignitaries, NEEPCO official, villagers and Goanbura.

NEEPCO participated in the 28th National Exhibition, organised by Central Calcutta Science & Cultural Organisation for Youth at Central Park Maidan, Salt Lake City, Kolkata with effect from 21st to 24th August 2025. The theme of the exhibition was ‘Pledges to make India a Golden Nation’.

As a part of NEEPCO’s CSR initiative, KHPS, Umrongso had constructed Water Harvesting structure at Rongkangtui village and Ring well at Khelma Students’ Union office, Umrongso, Dima Hasao, Assam and handed over the same on 22.08.2025 by the NEEPCO Official – Shri Prantik Bordoloi, DGM(HR) and Shri B.N. Sarkar, Sr.Manager(C) to Goanbura and Secretary respectively in presence of students and villagers.

NEEPCO successfully achieved the first-time synchronization of 23 MW Khandong Unit – 2 on 22nd August, 2025 after completion of Renovation Modernization and Life Extension of the Unit.

Shri Samiran Goswami, CTO, NEEPCO visited both Kopili & Khandong Power stations of KHPS on 17.08.2025 to take note of the Status of the Running Units and also to review activities of ongoing R&M of Khandong Unit II.

TGBPS launched the Girl Empowerment Mission (GEM 2025), a CSR initiative of NEEPCO today at TGBPS , Monarchak. This year’s GEM program includes 20 girls belonging to the schools located in the vicinity of TGBPS.

The opening ceremony of GEM 2025 was graced by Shri Bindu Debnath, Hon'ble Member of Legislative Assembly, Dhanpur as the Chief Guest.
